I've been waking up a lot at 5 a.m.

Sometimes to write. Sometimes to drive into SF for work.

It's really not because I'm disciplined.

It's more of a necessity, but I'm thankful for it.

There's something so ordinary about these quiet mornings.

It draws my focus to the world.

And the world is such a beautiful place,

that it deserves all of my attention.

Yet, I still don't pay enough attention to it.

I let all the interesting little things pass me by,

the little things that make up life.
