Il trentesimo giorno del mio corso d'italiano.

Buongiorno. Oggi è il trentesimo giorno del mio corso d'italiano.
Sono molto sorpreso. Non potevo parlare, leggere, o scrivere in italiano trenta giorni fa. Adesso parlo un pó d'italiano. Capisco anche un pó.
Adesso posso ordinare un caffè in un bar, del cibo in un ristorante, ecc. Posso anche parlare del mio lavoro.
Ma...non conosco abbastanza vocabolario...e I still have a long way to go.
The gist of this is that I'm taking a 60 day intensive Italian language course online.
I'm on my 30th day now, and before the start of the class, I didn't even know how to say "I" in Italian. These classes have been really fun, and it's hella gratifying to see my own progress and commitment to it.
I really think I can start reading Italo Calvino in a year, at least his Fiabe Italiane. La Divina Commedia by Dante is with me all of the time, but I mainly listen to an audio version of it to get a sense of the language in its poetic form.
